Automotive Location: Kingston upon Thames Salary: £38,110 basic salary + OTE £48,000-£50,000 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Working Pattern: Monday-Saturday rota, no Sunday working

The Opportunity

Planet Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Branch Manager to join a successful and established automotive business operating across the Home Counties.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fast-fit automotive professional to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of a busy branch, leading a team, managing performance and ensuring consistently high levels of customer service.

The successful candidate will combine strong commercial awareness with hands-on automotive knowledge and the ability to motivate and lead a team in a target-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the branch
• Ensure branch budgets and commercial targets are achieved
• Lead, manage and develop the branch team
• Communicate company and branch targets effectively
• Monitor and manage stock levels
• Deal with customer enquiries face-to-face, over the telephone and online
• Maintain consistently high standards of customer service
• Support workshop operations and undertake hands-on duties when required
• Recruit, interview, induct and engage new members of staff
• Ensure company policies, procedures and operational standards are followed
• Lead by example and create a positive, motivated working environment

About You

The successful Branch Manager will ideally have:

• Proven experience working within a fast-fit automotive or tyre centre environment
• Strong knowledge of tyres and routine mechanical work
• Previous experience managing and developing a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proven ability to work towards and achieve commercial targets
• A hands-on approach to management
• Strong customer service skills
• The ability to motivate and engage a team
• A good understanding of operational processes and compliance
• The energy and drive to succeed within a fast-paced, target-led environment

Working Hours

Monday-Friday: 08:00-18:00 Saturday: 08:30-17:00

One weekday off on a rota basis for three out of every four weeks, plus one Saturday off every four weeks.

No Sunday working.
