Infrastructure Operations Engineer, Asset Management (Batam)

The Infrastructure Operations Engineer is responsible for end-to-end lifecycle management, operational governance, and performance oversight of infrastructure assets across Batam DC site. This includes data centre hardware, GPU clusters, networking equipment, and supporting critical infrastructure.

This role ensures optimal asset utilization, reliability, compliance, cost efficiency, and operational scalability. You will act as the regional owner of asset performance, working cross-functionally with Deployment, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and Site Operations teams.

This is a highly strategic and execution-focused role requiring strong operational discipline, analytical capability, and stakeholder management skills.

What You'll Be Doing

Regional Asset Lifecycle Management

Own the full lifecycle of infrastructure assets from procurement to decommissioning

Maintain accurate asset tracking across sites (hardware, racks, GPUs, networking, spares)

Ensure CMDB accuracy and alignment with physical inventory

Lead asset onboarding and retirement processes in line with global standards

Operational Performance & Optimization

Monitor asset utilization, performance metrics, and failure trends

Drive regional optimization initiatives (capacity planning, redeployment, refresh cycles)

Implement preventative maintenance and lifecycle forecasting strategies

Governance, Compliance & Controls

Ensure compliance with internal asset management policies and audit standards

Support financial controls including asset capitalization, depreciation alignment, and reconciliation with Finance

Drive inventory accuracy and conduct periodic audits across sites

Scaling & Process Improvement

Standardize asset management processes across regional sites

Implement tooling and automation to improve tracking and reporting

Contribute to global asset management strategy and playbooks

Identify operational risks and proactively mitigate them

About You

5+ years of experience in Data Centre operations, relating to asset management and/or hardware lifecycle management

Experience in managing high-value hardware assets (e.g. GPU servers, networking equipment, storage or data centre infrastructure)

Strong understanding of asset lifecycle, CMDB systems and inventory control best practices

Experience working across multi-site, regional or global operational environments

Strong written and verbal English skills to manage tickets, document activities, and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and colocation (colo) providers

Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia
