Job Overview:

As the Community and Operations Associate, you will support our Newlab New Orleans beta space community and team with administrative work. This role works from the front desk and will also handle event support and administrative tasks.

This is a part-time, up to 25 hours a week to start with, in-person role at our New Orleans location.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcome and assist visitors, members, and guests, managing check-ins

Provide front-desk coverage, field incoming calls, and efficiently relay member requests

Troubleshoot and assist with member inquiries, including room bookings and communication

Swiftly attend to member and guest requests through personal interactions, email, and digital platform communications

Liaise with external service providers while collaborating closely with the global operations team to ensure alignment with standards and drive timely issue resolution

Identify and help streamline day-to-day operational processes to keep the front desk running smoothly

Provide occasional support to Newlab staff, ensuring efficient and organized workplace

Support onboarding and offboarding processes for Newlab members, providing on-the-ground assistance as needed to ensure a smooth and positive experience

Assist with the coordination and execution of events, ensuring smooth logistics and effective collaboration with all stakeholders

Monitor and assist with the restocking of consumables to ensure supplies are consistently available and organized

Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages, ensuring accurate distribution and timely handling

Contribute to special projects as required

Qualifications:

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Strong research and analytical skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A keen eye for detail and creative problem-solving abilities

Passionate about critical technologies, startup innovation, and climate impact

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Flexible schedule, with availability to work evenings or weekends as needed

Our space often hosts member events, so the ability to multitask effectively, balance day-to-day responsibilities while adapting in real time to a lively, collaborative atmosphere is required

Technology and Tools: Proficient in a range of information technology tools and platforms. Experience working with Hubspot and airtable is a plus.
