You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Financial Analytics branch of the Comptroller Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD. This position serves as the Data Analytics Lead for Comptroller.

Major duties

  • You will serve as the Dahlgren Division Comptroller Lead for Financial Management Data Analytics (FMDA).
  • You will coordinate with the Navy and NAVSEA Comptroller, the Warfare Center and associated working groups by participating in meetings, and you will serve as the primary POC for Financial Management Data Analytics-related email and action items.
  • You will participate in the development and implementation of Financial Management dashboards, reports and tools both internally at Dahlgren Division and throughout the Navy FMDA enterprise.
  • You will coordinate Dahlgren Division Comptroller's Financial Management Data Analytics efforts to leverage existing tools and to create/implement new tools.
  • You will use extensive knowledge of Navy ERP (the financial system of record) and relevant data sources/repositories to develop accurate and relevant dashboards, reports and tools.
  • You will use extensive knowledge of Working Capital Fund policies and procedures to ensure dashboards, reports and tools provide accurate and relevant information for financial management decision-making.
  • You will use knowledge of data analytics processes and procedures to develop accurate and relevant dashboards, reports and tools.
  • You will coordinate FMDA training for Dahlgren Division personnel to improve FMDA knowledge and ability to effectively use dashboards, reports and tools.
  • You will manage the Comptroller Department SharePoint site to ensure data is current and relevant and use SharePoint functionality to improve communication and processes.
  • You will develop briefs and other means of communication to explain financial management data analytics plans, dashboards, reports and tools.
  • You will assist the Deputy Comptroller with other special projects as needed and may require research, analysis and/or development of communication media such as briefs.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Having an extensive knowledge of Working Capital Funds and NSWCDD Business Processes and Policies, leadership of a team or organization, and knowledge of and experience using data analytics tools and methodologies. NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for this position. Examples of Qualifying experience: Knowledge of budgeting and financial management systems at Working Capital Fund (WCF) activity. Skills in all communication, researching, identifying problems, recommending effective solutions, and implementing strategic plans. Ability to prepare, review, and reconcile financial reports, as well as evaluate budget and analysis of financial data.
