Head of Finance - Remote

As the Head of Finance, you'll oversee the financial operations and reporting to keep the business running smoothly and efficiently. This role in the energy infrastructure space and requires a hands-on approach to managing budgets, forecasting, and ensuring compliance.

This role is with a company in the infrastructure spaced, primarily based out of London.

Description

• Manage and oversee all financial operations, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Prepare accurate financial reports and present them to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth.
• Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve departmental goals.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring financial stability.
• Collaborate with other departments to align financial planning with business objectives.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.

Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Proven experience in a Head of Finance, Financial Controller or number one finance role in a project-based SME.Project accounting experience - this is non-negotiable given the nature of our work
• Experience with construction industry VAT and CIS requirements
• Proven people manager who can get the best out of a small team
• Strong track record in finance automation and process improvement
• Experience working alongside project managers and integrating finance into operational workflows
• Advanced Excel skills and sharp attention to detail

Job Offer

• Competitive salary ranging from £70,000 to £85,000 dependent on the level of experience.
