Manufacturing Shift Supervisor

About the Role As a Manufacturing Shift Lead, you will serve as a pivotal member of our operations team, guiding personnel to meet production targets while fostering a culture of safety and efficiency. You will act as a key decision-maker on the floor, balancing operational demands with team development to ensure consistent output and high-quality standards.

Responsibilities Direct daily production activities by providing clear guidance, motivation, and support to floor staff.

Assume operational oversight in the absence of the supervisor, ensuring continuity and adherence to production schedules.

Analyze performance metrics to drive improvements in throughput, waste reduction, and overall operational efficiency.

Facilitate effective communication across departments to resolve bottlenecks and maintain seamless workflow transitions.

Champion a safe work environment by enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols.

Mentor team members through training and cross-training initiatives to enhance collective skill sets and versatility.

Utilize ERP software to manage production documentation and track real-time operational data.

Required Skills

Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on team leadership or mentorship.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse teams.

Demonstrated ability to make sound, independent decisions under pressure.

Proficiency in basic computer systems and production reporting.

Preferred Skills

Direct experience in plastic injection molding processes.

Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Kaizen methodologies.

Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.
