Accountabilities: The Enterprise Storage Specialist will be responsible for designing, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise storage platforms across diverse environments. The role requires strong technical expertise, troubleshooting capabilities, and a focus on automation, reliability, and performance.

Design, implement, and operate enterprise storage solutions across block, file, and object storage environments.

Manage and optimize storage platforms including NetApp ONTAP, Pure Storage, and Ceph-based solutions.

Support storage infrastructure for compute, virtualization, database, and Kubernetes workloads.

Configure and maintain storage integrations with VMware and Kubernetes through CSI technologies.

Monitor storage performance, capacity utilization, availability, and cost efficiency.

Develop and maintain automation workflows using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and REST APIs.

Troubleshoot complex issues across storage, networking, and host infrastructure layers.

Support data protection strategies, replication processes, and storage reliability initiatives.

Evaluate storage architecture improvements and contribute to technology modernization efforts.

Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable and resilient storage solutions.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing enterprise storage environments and a strong understanding of modern storage architectures. Success in this role requires technical depth, problem-solving skills, automation expertise, and the ability to support complex infrastructure at scale.

6+ years of experience in enterprise storage engineering or related infrastructure roles.

Deep expertise with NetApp ONTAP or Pure Storage FlashArray/FlashBlade platforms.

Hands-on production experience with Ceph storage environments.

Strong knowledge of SAN, NAS, and object storage protocols.

Experience integrating storage solutions with VMware and Kubernetes environments.

Strong scripting and automation skills using Ansible, Terraform, REST APIs, or similar technologies.

Understanding of storage performance optimization, capacity planning, and cost management.

Strong troubleshooting abilities across storage, network, and server layers.

Experience managing large-scale or heterogeneous storage environments.

Vendor certifications such as NCDA, NCIE, or Pure Storage certifications are a plus.

Experience with hybrid-cloud storage replication and software-defined storage platforms is preferred.

Exposure to petabyte-scale object storage and AI/ML workloads with intensive I/O requirements is a plus.
