Accountabilities Serve as the lead compensation advisor for complex and globally distributed business areas, supporting strategic hiring, retention, promotions, job leveling, organizational changes, and annual compensation planning.

Build a deep understanding of business strategies, talent priorities, organizational structures, and regional market conditions to anticipate compensation needs and recommend effective solutions.

Analyze complex compensation challenges and develop market-informed recommendations that balance business objectives, external competitiveness, internal equity, global consistency, and compensation philosophy.

Design and recommend innovative compensation solutions supporting critical talent, retention initiatives, and strategic business priorities.

Advise senior HR and business leaders by presenting clear, data-driven recommendations and exercising sound judgment on complex compensation decisions.

Lead the global compensation market intelligence strategy, including relationships with survey providers, survey investments, market pricing, and benchmarking across functions, levels, and geographies.

Own and enhance global job architecture, leveling frameworks, job evaluation methodologies, and salary structures to promote consistent and market-aligned compensation practices.

Maintain expertise in pharmaceutical and biotechnology compensation practices, as well as regional market and regulatory considerations across North America, EMEA, LATAM, and APAC.

Lead annual market reviews for assigned business groups, evaluating market movement, competitiveness, salary structures, midpoint progression, range adjustments, and potential pay compression.

Provide subject matter leadership for annual compensation planning, global pay transparency, pay equity, and broad-based compensation program enhancements.

Represent business needs and emerging workforce challenges in the development and implementation of compensation programs, policies, frameworks, and processes.

Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders across functions and geographies to ensure compensation decisions remain aligned with organizational priorities and governance standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of progressive broad-based compensation experience in high-growth, global environments.

Strongly preferred experience working within a global public pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or similarly complex organization.

Demonstrated experience partnering with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and senior business leaders across multiple functions, geographies, and organizational levels.

Deep expertise in market pricing, compensation benchmarking, salary structure design, job architecture, job leveling, job evaluation, and compensation decision support.

International compensation experience, particularly supporting EMEA, LATAM, and/or APAC markets.

Strong knowledge of compensation data sources and survey frameworks such as Aon/Radford, Mercer, WTW, or comparable providers.

Excellent analytical, modeling, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to translate complex market data into practical business recommendations.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain sophisticated compensation concepts clearly to HR and business audiences.

Ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide credible, data-driven guidance on sensitive compensation matters.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Sound judgment, collaboration skills, and a strategic mindset when developing and implementing compensation programs.

Annual base salary range of $212,200–$262,100 USD , with actual compensation determined by experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
