Design Project Manager
Accountabilities: In this role, you will lead end-to-end delivery of complex multidisciplinary design projects, ensuring alignment across teams, clients, and technical stakeholders.
Lead multidisciplinary design teams including electrical, mechanical, ICT, structural, BIM/VDC, and architectural specialists
Manage full project lifecycle from proposal and kickoff through design completion and construction support
Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout delivery
Define and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocation
Monitor financial performance including forecasts, invoicing, fee utilization, and change management
Coordinate design reviews, project meetings, and cross-disciplinary collaboration activities
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes
Ensure all deliverables meet QA/QC standards, client expectations, and industry best practices
Support business development activities including proposals, fee estimates, and client presentations
Mentor project teams and promote collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an experienced project manager with a strong technical background in engineering or design consulting and proven success delivering complex infrastructure projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline
7+ years of project management experience in engineering, architecture, or design consulting environments
Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams on data center, mission-critical, or complex infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of data center systems including electrical, mechanical, ICT, and HVAC infrastructure
Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and client relationships across full project lifecycles
Familiarity with BIM/VDC environments and coordination tools such as Revit, BIM 360/ACC, Revizto, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments
Professional designation such as P.Eng, PE, Registered Architect, or PMP certification is an asset
