Operations Associate - part time English required

I'm a Swedish entrepreneur building a new venture in Paraguay, at the intersection of agriculture and technology. I'm looking for a sharp, hands-on person in Asunción to be my right hand on the ground as we set up and grow local operations.

What you'll do:

• Run day-to-day operations: coordinate suppliers, logistics and local partners
• Travel to sites in the interior, assess opportunities and report back
• Join meetings and negotiations as interpreter (Spanish/Guaraní - English)
• Help evaluate and manage projects as they come online; no two weeks will look the same
• Work directly with the founder, with real responsibility from day one

You:

• Fluent written and spoken English (non-negotiable; interviews are in English)
• Comfortable both in the countryside and at a negotiating table; driver's license a big plus
• Agronomy or agribusiness background, or genuine rural familiarity, preferred
• Interest in tech and crypto is a plus; the product side of this venture is digital
• You already work with tools like Slack and use AI in your daily workflow
• Organized, independent, responsive

Terms:

• Part-time (15-20 hours/week), flexible schedule
• Monthly retainer in USD, plus expenses and performance bonuses
• Independent contractor (factura/RUC required, or willingness to register)
• Ground floor of something new, with room to grow into a bigger role.
