Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Office Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mechanical design, piping layout, and 3D modeling for industrial projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering deliverables, developing piping layouts, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting design optimization through engineering analysis. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed mechanical and piping engineering drawings, layouts, and fabrication documents. Develop accurate 3D models using SolidWorks and/or equivalent CAD software. Perform piping routing and plant layout using AutoCAD Plant 3D or equivalent piping design software. Generate isometric drawings, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, spool drawings, and fabrication details. Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, and process engineering disciplines. Review project specifications, P&IDs, equipment layouts, and vendor drawings. Support engineering calculations and design verification. Participate in design reviews and value engineering activities. Assist in preparing technical proposals, material take-offs (MTO), and bill of materials (BOM). Ensure compliance with project specifications, international codes, and engineering standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. 3–7 years of experience in a Technical Office or Mechanical Design role. Strong knowledge of industrial piping systems and plant engineering. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Good command of written and spoken English. Technical Skills

Mandatory SolidWorks AutoCAD Plant 3D (or equivalent piping design software) AutoCAD Microsoft Office Preferred Pipe Stress Analysis software (e.g., CAESAR II) CFD software (ANSYS Fluent, SolidWorks Flow Simulation, or equivalent) FEA software (ANSYS Mechanical, Abaqus, SolidWorks Simulation, or equivalent) Navisworks Revit MEP (preferred) BIM coordination tools Knowledge Requirements Industrial piping systems Pipe routing and layout optimization Pressure vessels and storage tanks Steel structures and equipment supports Mechanical fabrication drawings P&IDs and engineering documentation Material selection and engineering standards Engineering codes such as ASME, API, and ASTM Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in one or more of the following industries will be preferred: Oil & Gas Petrochemical Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants Power Plants Food & Beverage Industrial Manufacturing API 650 Storage Tanks EPC Projects
