Marketing & Outreach Officer

Company Description: Corban Agency Uganda provides study abroad services, offering university placements for bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in more than 30 countries. The agency supports learners in accessing diverse international education opportunities that match their academic goals and interests. In addition, Corban Agency Uganda organizes engaging and educational summer camps in the UK for students (12–17 years). These summer programs are designed for young people who are eager to learn, grow, and experience new cultures in a structured environment.

Role Description: The Marketing & Outreach Officer is a full-time role based in Kampala,Uganda. The role involves planning and implementing marketing and outreach activities to promote the agency’s study abroad and summer camp programs. Day-to-day tasks include developing and executing marketing campaigns, coordinating outreach initiatives, managing events and information sessions, and engaging with schools, parents, and students. The Officer will create clear communication materials, maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders, support research into new markets and opportunities, and provide timely information to prospective students. The role also includes monitoring campaign performance, preparing reports, and contributing ideas to improve visibility and enrolment.

Qualifications

Strong engagement and outreach skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with schools, students, parents, and other local partners. Excellent communication skills, including confident public speaking, clear writing, and the ability to present information to diverse audiences. Event management experience, including planning, organizing, and coordinating education fairs, school visits, and information sessions. Solid research skills to identify new outreach opportunities, understand market trends, and gather insights to improve marketing strategies. Proficiency with basic digital tools and social media platforms for promoting programs and engaging potential applicants. Ability to work collaboratively with a small team, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Minimum academic qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or another relevant field. Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in sales, marketing, business development, education consultancy, recruitment, field outreach, partnerships or a related role.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular visits to schools, organisations and other potential referral clients. Build and maintain relationships with Headteachers, Career Masters, administrators and other key decision-makers. Secure meetings, student presentations, career days, exhibitions and partnership opportunities. Present the agency’s services to students, parents and other institutions. Generate student leads through school visits, events, referrals and other outreach activities. Conduct initial consultations with prospective students and understand their study-abroad needs. Follow up consistently with prospective clients and actively work towards conversion. Identify new marketing, outreach and partnership opportunities. Coordinate promotional activities, content creation and marketing initiatives. Maintain accurate records of client contacts, leads and partnership opportunities. Update the agency's trackers and other internal databases regularly. Coordinate appointments and maintain an organised monthly outreach calendar. Monitor and report on outreach activity, meetings secured, leads generated and conversions against targets. Perform any other duties assigned.
