About the role:

We’re looking for a hands-on Licensed Technician Team Lead to join our vehicle reconditioning facility on the evening shift (Monday–Thursday, 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM). This role combines technical expertise with floor leadership, supporting the team to ensure vehicles move through the reconditioning pipeline efficiently while meeting quality and safety standards.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, production-driven environment, leads from the floor, and is equally comfortable diagnosing and repairing vehicles while coaching others to succeed.

A $3,500 signing bonus will be paid after the successful completion of the 3-month probationary period.

What you’ll do:

Own the Flow: Monitor the full reconditioning pipeline (Inspection, Mechanical, Bodyshop, Detail, Quality Control, Merchandising) to ensure vehicles progress smoothly and targets are met

Hands-On Technical Execution: Perform inspections, repairs, and diagnostics while supporting the shop floor as a working lead

Ontario Safety Inspections: Conduct Ontario Provincial Safety Inspections in accordance with all standards and requirements

Eliminate Friction: Identify bottlenecks in real time and reallocate labour/resources to maintain throughput and cycle time targets

Quality Gatekeeping: Audit vehicles at key stages to ensure all units meet “The Clutch Standard” before going live

Coach & Develop: Provide real-time coaching, mentorship, and technical guidance to technicians and team members

Lean Excellence: Drive continuous improvement through standardized work, 5S, and process optimization

Data-Driven Leadership: Track and report KPIs such as throughput, cycle time, first-pass yield, turnaround time, and repair quality

Documentation & Tools: Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, repairs, estimates, and diagnostics using shop systems (Google Drive, Slack, etc.)

Safety First: Lead by example, enforce PPE compliance, and maintain a clean, organized, “tour-ready” workspace at all times

What you’ll need:

310S Red Seal (or equivalent certification)

Experience working across domestic, import, and European vehicles

Strong diagnostic and repair skills (brakes, suspension, oil changes, preventative maintenance, etc.)

1+ years of leadership experience

3+ years working in high-volume, fast-paced environments (automotive, manufacturing, logistics, or similar)

Strong understanding of workflow optimization and standardized processes

Experience with Lean principles such as 5S, Kanban, Six Sigma, or similar

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills with the ability to translate performance data into clear direction

Comfortable using technology and shop systems

Other requirements:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract

Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week + overtime as required)

Comfortable working in a shop environment

Why you’ll love it:

Signing Bonus: $3,500 paid after the successful completion of the 3-month probationary period

Modern Environment: Forget the “greasy garage” stereotype—you’ll work in a clean, organized, safety-conscious facility

Impact: Your work directly affects the customer experience—every car you clear is a win for the brand

Growth Opportunities: Strong performers have clear pathways into leadership and operations roles

Employment Type:

New, Permanent Full-Time

Schedule:

Evening Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM

Compensation & Benefits:

$40–$45 per hour + $1.50 shift premium
