Finance Manager

Butler Rose is exclusively recruiting a Finance Manager for a fantastic organisation in Exeter, with a diverse portfolio of business interests. This is a newly formed role due to business growth. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in ensuring robust financial management across a range of entities. This is a varied and hands-on position offering exposure to financial reporting, planning, compliance, cash management and process improvement. Key Responsibilities Produce accurate and insightful management accounts and financial reports. Lead month-end and year-end accounting activities. Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning. Maintain strong financial controls and oversee day-to-day finance operations. Coordinate audit and statutory reporting requirements. Monitor compliance with tax and regulatory obligations. Partner with stakeholders across multiple business areas to provide financial guidance and support decision-making. Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting. About You You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting knowledge and a proactive approach to problem solving. This role would suit a practice leaver, or someone already working in industry looking for a new challenge. You should also be able to demonstrate: Experience in financial reporting and management accounting. Strong analytical and organisational skills. The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders. A collaborative approach and the confidence to build effective working relationships.
