Apricum – The Cleantech Advisory is a boutique M&A and strategy advisory firm focused on small to medium-sized companies across Europe’s renewable energy and cleantech markets. Established in 2008 and headquartered in Berlin, we support companies and investors in M&A transactions across the energy transition.

We combine strategy advisory insight, investment banking proficiency and deep technical industry knowledge, backed by strong values and culture. We are a lean, close-knit core team supported by a network of around 50 senior advisors, which gives us the expertise of a much larger firm while staying agile and personal. Your tasks

Apricum’s M&A advisory business is growing fast, and we are looking for a Vice President to join our team in Berlin.

Your position The role has a strong business development component: alongside the Managing Partner, you will originate and develop new client relationships as well as execute live transactions.

You will work with corporates, investment funds and growth companies on asset and corporate M&A or private capital markets mandates.

Requirements

Please make sure you meet these key requirements before applying.

• You have 5-10 years of corporate finance experience at a respected bank or M&A advisory boutique, with a focus on M&A transactions (not project finance)
• You have a strong record in transaction management and structuring, and you are comfortable originating new client relationships
• You are detail-oriented, well organized and process-driven
• You speak and write German at a native level (mandatory) and are professionally proficient in English
• You have a strong interest in energy topics and enthusiasm for renewable energy
• You bring a collaborative, hands-on attitude. We succeed because of our high standards, and we ask for evidence that you share them

This role is home-based, ideally in or near Berlin, working with colleagues across our team and senior advisor network in person as needed and virtually day to day. For an outstanding candidate, we would consider other European locations. We invest in regular in-person gatherings to keep our culture strong despite our distributed way of working.
