Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead field execution of electrical construction within hyperscale data center environments. This is a hands-on, onsite construction management role responsible for coordinating electrical subcontractors, managing installation activities, resolving field issues, maintaining schedule, and ensuring electrical systems are installed safely and according to project requirements.

The ideal candidate has experience managing mission-critical or large-scale commercial/industrial electrical construction and understands electrical distribution equipment such as switchgear, busway, PDUs, RPPs, STS, UPS systems, and associated power distribution to the data hall.

This role does not require an electrical engineering background. We are looking for someone who understands how electrical construction gets executed in the field and can successfully manage subcontractors, schedules, quality, and client expectations.

This is a full-time salaried position offering competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, paid training and performance-based bonuses.

This position is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area and will work onsite for local data center projects. Approximately 50% travel outside of the Texas area should be expected at times.

Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day field execution of electrical construction on data center projects

Manage electrical subcontractors from kickoff through installation, commissioning, and closeout

Coordinate manpower, schedule, sequencing, deliveries, and site activities

Oversee installation of electrical distribution equipment including switchgear, busway, PDUs, RPPs, STS, UPS systems, and power distribution to IT equipment

Review electrical drawings, submittals, RFIs, and field changes

Identify and resolve installation issues and trade conflicts in the field

Lead electrical QA/QC and ensure installations meet drawings, specifications, code, and client standards

Coordinate with GCs, electrical contractors, commissioning teams, vendors, and client stakeholders

Track project progress, risks, changes, and schedule impacts

Support testing, commissioning, punch list, turnover, and project closeout

Maintain project documentation and provide regular project updates

Required Qualifications

5+ years of electrical construction experience, preferably within data centers, mission-critical facilities, or other complex electrical environments

Experience managing electrical subcontractors and field construction activities

Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and equipment

Ability to read and understand electrical construction drawings and one-lines

Experience with QA/QC, inspections, testing, commissioning, or turnover

Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field coordination

Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and electrical construction safety requirements

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

Hyperscale or colocation data center construction experience

Experience with PDUs, RPPs, busway, STS, UPS systems, switchgear, and redundant power systems

Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software

Experience supporting commissioning and integrated systems testing

Previous experience with a major electrical contractor or mission-critical construction firm

To support a fair, consistent, and high-quality hiring experience, some interviews may be recorded. These recordings help our team focus fully on the conversation at hand, rather than note-taking, and allow us to better evaluate and improve our recruitment process. Recordings are used solely for internal purposes such as training, quality assurance, and process improvement. Candidates will be informed in advance and asked to provide consent before any recording takes place.
