The primary purpose of this position is to provide oversight support of the organization's mission. Test and evaluate state of the art weapon systems and cyberspace capabilities, provide quality installation and mission support, and serve as responsible stewards of our resources to deliver war-winning capabilities.

Major duties

Directly assists the commander/director in the management of all administrative support program functions. Serves as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs. Serves as the unit liaison to the military and civilian personnel offices. Performs other clerical and administrative work in support of the office/organization.

Qualifications

Experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions. https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=Group-Standards GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of general experience equivalent at the next lower grade(NK-1 or GS-04) in Federal service or equivalent in other pay systems or (2) years education above the high school level. General experience is described as: Responsible for Security, Government Travel Card, Government Purchase Card, Defense Travel System, Drug Demand Reduction, Personnel Processing, Timekeeping, and Unit Recognition Programs and maintains reporting records. Develops, establishes, updates, and maintains office procedures and records/files of various types to ensure effective and efficient operation of the office. Keeps squadron leader and deputy apprised of policy and administration and executes directives through establishment of procedures for all programs. IDEAL CANDIDATE: Ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organization, administrative, and teamwork skills. Candidate will have the ability to accurately interpret instructions, independently assess requirements, and provide quality finished products and solutions. Prior experience working in an Air Force Civil Engineer Squadron is desired with the ability to learn and adapt to changing situations. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of an organization. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs. Skill in fact-finding, problem analysis, problem resolutions, and development of concrete action plans to solve problems. Ability to gather, analyze and present facts, communicate effectively, using tact and courtesy and possess the ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines. Ability to plan and organize management programs and functions of an organization. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment .You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
