AI Product Designer

AIApply is hiring a remote AI Product Designer anywhere in the United States to shape how millions of job seekers experience artificial intelligence.

Designing for AI is different. Outputs are probabilistic, latency is visible, and trust has to be earned in the interface. You will design flows where users co-write resumes with a model, practise interviews with an agent, and let automation apply on their behalf — which means designing for uncertainty, editability, undo, transparency and graceful failure.

You will own features end to end: research, flows, high-fidelity UI in Figma, prototypes, design system contributions, and close collaboration with engineers through implementation. We care about craft — typography, motion, empty states, microcopy — and we ship weekly.

You will also help evolve our design system and set the visual language for a product category that is still being invented.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end design for AI-driven features from research to shipped UI.

Design interaction patterns for streaming, uncertain and editable AI output.

Build and maintain components in our design system.

Run lightweight user research and usability tests with job seekers.

Write clear product microcopy, including AI disclosure and error states.

Partner daily with engineers to keep implementation faithful to intent.

Qualifications

4+ years designing consumer or prosumer software, with a portfolio showing shipped, complex product work. Expert in Figma, prototyping and design systems. Experience designing AI or data-heavy interfaces strongly preferred. Strong writing skills.
