DevOps / Release Intern

Role summary

Assist with day-to-day deployments and server/project configuration across our staging (and, over time, production) environments, and help troubleshoot routine server issues — all under the guidance of the Software Division.

Key responsibilities

Deploy branches to staging on request and assist with production releases under supervision

Help maintain and update project and server configuration (reverse proxy, Java/Tomcat services, Node.js/PM2 services)

Help diagnose and resolve routine server and configuration issues; escalate complex ones

Manage service processes (start/stop/restart, monitoring, logs)

Perform basic Git operations and keep deployment runbooks up to date

Currently studying Computer Science / Engineering.

Comfortable with the Linux command line and basic Git

Familiarity with web servers and how web applications are deployed

Strong problem-solving attitude and eagerness to learn

Reliable and detail-oriented

Nice to have:

Any hands-on exposure to Nginx, Tomcat/Java, Node.js/PM2, MySQL, Docker, or AWS
