Account Manager (Onsite - 5 days per week)

Overview:

The Account Manager serves as a strategic business advisor to client accounts, driving long-term retention and account expansion across the Weedmaps platform. This role is responsible for analyzing account performance data, formulating customized business strategies, and advising client decision-makers on market positioning and revenue growth. Exercising discretion and independent judgment, the Account Manager customizes portfolio growth plans, negotiates account strategies, and evaluates market trends to optimize client success and business stability.

The impact you'll make:

Strategic Account Planning & Advisory: Autonomously evaluate client performance metrics and market dynamics to formulate tailored business recommendations and strategic growth plans for account leadership.

Independent Decision-Making & Consultation: Exercise discretion and independent judgment to consult clients on optimizing marketing spend, platform usage, and business strategies based on high-level market insights.

Portfolio Management & Risk Mitigation: Strategically manage an assigned portfolio to drive expansion and proactively identify and resolve account churn risks through bespoke retention strategies.

Executive Reviews & Presentations: Prepare and lead strategic business reviews and executive presentations to influence client decision-makers and align product capabilities with client business goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategy Input: Collaborate with Account Executives and cross-functional teams to identify enterprise expansion paths, analyze client operational feedback, and recommend strategic process and product enhancements to leadership.

Operational & Financial Oversight: Oversee account hygiene and administrative workflows, exercising judgment to manage escalations regarding client billing, contract statuses, and account health.

What you've accomplished:

BS / BA Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum 1 year of experience in Ad Tech sales or account management; client/customer facing role

Proven track record of hitting goals and revenue targets

Data-oriented, analytical sales approach

Customer-centric and an eager relationship builder, with the ability to share feedback with customers to drive positive long-term relationship momentum (and not always just to appease in the moment)

Confidence in presenting to clients (onsite or on phone) to influence credibly and effectively

Comfort with and ability to operate at an accelerated, iterative pace in a dynamic environment

Strong planning and organizational skills with a clear attention to detail and process oriented

Bonus points:

Experience in the cannabis industry

Familiarity with Salesforce

The base pay range for this position is $70,304.00 - $132,000.00 per year, and a competitive bonus
