Role purpose

Govern and drive the investments of CAPEX and OPEX and direct cost, ensuring optimum investment plans to achieve strategic goals and business objectives.

Govern and manage the budget planning team community across technology, to ensure investments (CAPEX/OPEX) are in line with the business priorities and strategy, and to track and assess technology build and key performance metrics.

Manage different technology plans insights, analysis, investment prioritisation, recommendation, KPIs reporting and alignment with the business and technology departments.

Responsible for all vendor management technical and financial requirements.

Provide various supplier management and process improvement services across technology. Key focus will be managing supplier relationships, contracts, and financials.

Identify process improvement opportunities and potential savings during suppliers’ contract reviews or negotiations and services reviews.

Govern the logistics of technology across finance, fixed assets, and technology to meet group targets and effectively manage the stock to be most beneficial to Vodafone Egypt.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

Develop the local technology CAPEX/OPEX investment plans (DB, 5+7 and LRP) across technology teams and interface with finance and business teams to conclude the optimum investment plan given the allocated budget.

Development of purchasing concepts for providing suppliers and partners services.

Formulate LRP (3 years) fully integrated technology strategy after applying gap analysis in all domains, study vendors’ roadmaps, and group guidance.

Automation skills are an asset.

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience

8+ years of experience in IT and network.

Excellent knowledge and understanding of the telecommunications industry.

Advanced analytical skills.

Achiever and results oriented.

Strong financial experience.

Must have professional qualifications:

Strong financial and technical knowledge.

Automation skills.

Vendor management knowledge is a plus.
