You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT (STORAGE MANAGEMENT) in the PERSONAL PROPERTY BRANCH of MARINE CORPS BASE.

Major duties

  • You will perform storage management functions to include ordering, monitoring, and coordinating personal property storage requirements.
  • You will serve as a booking agent for Marine Corps members, their dependents, and U.S. Marine Corps federal employees to coordinate and book storage services.
  • You will process applications to release household goods from Non-Temporary Storage (NTS) and coordinate their delivery.
  • You will run daily and weekly reports to identify priority workloads and problematic shipments and review and interpret new or revised directives to issue regulatory guidance to customers.
  • You will support the Contracting Officer Representative with test, implementation, and maintenance of continuous process improvement initiatives and automated technology systems.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Maintaining transportation database information to track shipments, verify data accuracy and organize records; analyzing transportation issues and recommending appropriate courses of action; AND communicating clearly to resolve customer storage inquiries and delivery discrepancies.
