Freelance Technical German Translator

Your Role: As a freelance translator, you will work on a diverse array of technical documents in two main domains:

Domain 1 (Source: Chinese) Automotive (including owner/user manuals)

User Operation (UO)

User Experience (UX)

Domain 2 (Source: English) Electronics

Information Technology (consumer-facing materials, software UI, Doc/Help-UA)

Manufacturing/Industrial (consumer-facing and specialist guidelines)

What You’ll Do: Translate and/or post-edit technical materials from Chinese or English into German

Ensure translations are accurate, contextually appropriate, and of high quality

Meet productivity targets, with an expected MTPE output of 600 words per hour

Who We’re Looking For: Experienced technical translator with solid background in at least one of the listed domains

Native-level fluency in German and strong command of English and/or Chinese

Familiarity with MTPE processes and translation software/tools is a strong plus

Based in the APAC region

Ability to consistently deliver quality work within deadlines
