Receive and process payments from guests for accommodation, food, beverages, and other services.
Handle cash, mobile money, debit/credit card payments, and other approved payment methods.
Issue receipts, invoices, and bills to guests accurately.
Verify guest bills and ensure charges are correctly recorded before processing payments.
Balance cash and reconcile daily sales at the end of each shift.
Prepare daily cash reports and submit them to the appropriate supervisor.
Maintain accurate records of all transactions and payment receipts.
Respond politely to guest inquiries regarding bills and payments.
Coordinate with the front desk, restaurant, bar, and accounts department to ensure accurate billing.
Report discrepancies, suspected fraud, or irregular transactions promptly to management.
Ensure the cash register and payment systems are properly maintained
Follow the hotel's financial procedures and confidentiality policies.
Assist with other front desk or administrative duties when required.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum of SHS certificate; an HND or certificate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.
At least 1 year of experience as a cashier, preferably in a hotel, lodge, restaurant, or similar hospitality establishment.
Basic knowledge of cash handling, billing, and payment reconciliation.
Familiarity with POS systems, hotel management software, and mobile money transactions is an advantage.
Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Honest, reliable, and highly attentive to detail.
Ability to remain calm and professional when handling busy periods or guest complaints.
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
