About the Job

Signal & Strand is partnering with a leading global technology company to appoint a Director of Product Marketing. This role is responsible for shaping how products are brought to market globally, from narrative and positioning through go-to-market strategy and investment prioritization.

Operating at a portfolio level, this leader will establish clear frameworks and direction while enabling strong regional execution. The role sits at the intersection of Product, Brand, and Revenue, ensuring every launch is differentiated, consistent, and commercially effective.

The Mandate

Define and drive global product marketing strategy across the portfolio

Establish a disciplined, ROI-oriented approach to product launches and marketing investment

Build and maintain a cohesive global product narrative and messaging architecture

Enable high-quality regional execution through clear frameworks and governance

Lead and develop a high-performing global product marketing team

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the global product marketing strategy, including prioritization of investments

Establish and govern go-to-market frameworks for new product introductions and major line extensions

Own global product narratives, positioning, and messaging architecture

Oversee product launch budgets, ensuring alignment with growth objectives and consumer journeys

Review and guide launch plans to ensure appropriate scale, clarity, and return on investment

Translate consumer and competitive insights into differentiated positioning and value propositions

Partner closely with Product Management, Brand & Creative, Growth/Revenue, and Marketing Operations

Collaborate with regional commercial leaders to support effective local execution

Build and lead a global product marketing team, creating scalable processes and clear ownership

Define and track KPIs and OKRs for product launches, evaluating performance against investment and outcomes

Ideal Profile

10+ years of experience in product marketing, ideally within a global technology or consumer electronics environment

Experience shaping go-to-market strategy across multiple product lines or categories

Exposure to managing or influencing product launch budgets and investment decisions

Strong understanding of eCommerce, including Amazon and digital retail ecosystems

Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Brand, and Commercial teams

Experience leading and developing teams in a global or multi-region environment

Deep expertise in product positioning, storytelling, and go-to-market execution

Data-driven mindset with a strong focus on performance and outcomes

Location & Work Model

El Segundo, CA

Hybrid work model with regular in-office collaboration and global travel as needed

Compensation

$175,000 to $200,000 base salary + 20% bonus (up to 2x bonus achievable)

Base Compensation Range $175,000 — $200,000 USD
