Position Summary:
The Foreman coordinates and manages the work activities of personnel in the department. They work collaboratively with other department leaders to ensure production or distribution material flow by planning, assigning, and assisting the work, safety, productivity, and training of their work group.
Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:
Organizes, leads, and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and timeframe
Communicates and executes plans in regard to material flow, planning, assigning, and directing work by coordinating operations and activities within or between departments
Enforces company safety policies and procedures while ensuring work areas are clean and orderly
Regularly communicates with maintenance staff about preventative repairs and maintenance troubleshooting
Assists with on-the-floor training and development of department personnel
Provides input and recommendations with respect to personnel matters including hiring, firing, discipline, promotion, demotion, etc.
Confers with department leaders and management to resolve work problems, complaints, or grievances
Ensures adherence to quality and industry mandates by inspecting materials, products, or equipment by detecting defects or malfunctions
Inspects and reviews all daily data reporting for accuracy and resolves discrepancies as needed
Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Knowledge/Skills/Requirements:
High school diploma/GED (General Equivalency Diploma) or two years of related industrial experience or equivalent training
Leadership experience is required
Demonstrate strong math and measuring skills
Ability to read, comprehend, and respond to general instructions, direction, and correspondence, both oral and written
Ability to work cooperatively with members of various departments
Ability to effectively convey information and directions to others, both oral and written
Basic familiarity with Microsoft office programs and related products
Physical Demands/Work Environment
Work environment is comparable to outdoor temperatures
Regularly stands, bends, and reaches for extended periods
Regularly moves about the facility
Regularly lifts and moves materials up to 50 pounds
Occasionally required to move up to 100 pounds by pushing, pulling, or sliding material. Assistance provided as needed.
Visual inspection of material quality required.
Must be able to work in hot and cold environments without climate-control.
In-person attendance is an essential function of the job

Continuous participation in company safety training
Company forklift operation and certification
Shift Schedule and Information
Must be available to work 10:45pm -7:15am.
