What you will do

As the Senior Consultant, Sales Performance Solutions, you are accountable for the commercial growth and operational delivery of Trilliad's sales performance consulting business within Sales Performance Solutions. This means you own revenue attainment against consulting targets, generate and advance a qualified pipeline of engagements through both sales-integrated and independently sourced channels, and ensure every engagement is delivered to standard. You build and maintain the certified 1099 resource base that enables the business to scale capacity without compromising quality, and you equip the sales organization with the positioning and confidence to introduce consulting as a distinct value driver in customer conversations. Your accountability extends from opportunity identification through commercial close, delivery oversight, and the continuous expansion of delivery capacity in anticipation of pipeline growth.

Which means that on a day-to-day basis, you will:

Consulting Business Development and Revenue Ownership

Lead the generation and advancement of a qualified consulting pipeline, pursuing opportunities through sales-integrated channels and independently sourced relationships to meet revenue targets

Own the consulting revenue performance against plan, tracking attainment and adjusting pursuit strategy to close gaps or capitalize on emerging demand

Design and close consulting engagements independently, translating sales performance challenges into scoped solutions that buyers can act on and that align with Trilliad's commercial model

Position consulting as a distinct value driver in sales conversations, ensuring differentiation from other offerings and clarity on the outcomes consulting delivers

Sales Organization Enablement and Integration

Equip sales teams with the positioning, language, and confidence to introduce consulting into customer conversations at the right moment in the buying cycle

Partner with sales leadership to embed consulting into the sales motion, ensuring consulting is understood as a strategic capability rather than an ancillary service

Translate complex sales performance challenges into consulting value propositions that resonate with buyers and align with sales team objectives

1099 Resource Development and Delivery Capacity Management

Build and maintain a bench of certified contract resources qualified to deliver across supported sales use cases using Trilliad's methodology and standards

Assess and certify 1099 resources against a defined delivery standard, making hiring and retention decisions that protect engagement quality and client confidence

Match resource availability to pipeline demand, scaling the 1099 bench in anticipation of growth rather than in reaction to closed deals

Work with the internal Talent team to ensure adherence to worker classification and regulations

Plan delivery capacity to ensure consulting engagements can be staffed without delay or compromise to quality as the pipeline converts to revenue

Engagement Delivery and Quality Assurance

Oversee the execution of consulting engagements to ensure they are delivered to standard, stepping in to manage or course-correct when client confidence or delivery quality is at risk

Manage multiple concurrent consulting engagements without loss of quality, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring outcomes are achieved as scoped

Coach contract resources on delivery approach and client management, ensuring consistency in how Trilliad's consulting methodology is applied across engagements

How you’ll do it

Because how we do things matters just as much as what we do at Trilliad, our Leadership Principles should act as a compass directing the everyday behavior of every teammate across the organization:

Growth Obsessed. For our business, our clients, and our Selves.

Create Client Value. Become irreplaceable

Business is Personal. Cultivate relationships. Make space for connection. Care about each other.

Tighten-Up. Focus, discipline, and rigor count.

Lighten-Up. Humor and laughter deepen bonds.

Strategy Without Execution Is Just Dreaming. Hope is not a strategy. Vision matters—so does execution.

You Have the Ball. Be accountable. Take action. Go the distance.

Be One Team. No lone wolves. Have each other’s back and help each other out.

Run Towards Problems. Symptoms signal deeper causes. Find the root.

Raise The Bar. Good is the enemy of great. Better never stops—be a Difference-Maker!

Have the Hard Conversation. Be direct and empathetic. Speak the truth, kindly. Feedback is a gift.

Confusion Is a Choice. Stay curious—Seek to understand. Share context—seek to be understood.

Celebrate Results. Make recognition a habit. Shine a light on what’s working, big or small.

The Journey Matters. Meaningful work takes time. Be patient. Think: the next 90 days and the next 10 years.

Think “We” not “Me.” Prioritize what’s best for the business, the team, and the journey.

What You’ll Bring – Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

All Difference-Makers are expected to meet the Trilliad Standard for Transferable Skills and Knowledge, which defines the core capabilities every teammate must bring—regardless of role, function, or level.

The following domain-specific Skills, Knowledge, and Experience are additionally required for you to be great in this role.

Domain-specific skills

Consulting engagement design and commercial structuring — You independently translate a client's sales performance challenge into a scoped consulting solution with clear deliverables, pricing, and success criteria that a buyer can approve and that Trilliad can deliver profitably.

Pipeline generation in a consulting context — You create consulting opportunities through direct outreach, relationship development, and strategic positioning, not solely through inbound or sales-assisted leads, because this role requires you to own pipeline creation as well as conversion.

1099 workforce management and quality assurance — You assess contract resources against a delivery standard, make hiring and retention decisions, and ensure the bench scales with quality intact.

Sales performance consulting methodology application — You apply frameworks for sales process design, revenue enablement, or go-to-market improvement at the practitioner level, because you must deliver or oversee delivery of engagements that solve real sales effectiveness problems for clients.

Consulting positioning in a sales-led environment — You articulate the distinct value consulting provides in a way that sales teams can confidently introduce to customers, because consulting must be understood as a strategic capability, not an add-on service.

Domain-Specific Knowledge

Sales performance improvement frameworks and methodologies — You must understand how to diagnose and address sales effectiveness challenges at the process, capability, and organizational level because this is the domain in which you design and deliver consulting engagements.

Consulting business economics and capacity planning — You must understand utilization, margin, pricing models, and how to match resource availability to pipeline demand because you own the financial performance and scalability of the consulting business.

1099 engagement structuring and worker classification — You must know how to structure contract terms, set performance expectations, and manage a distributed consulting workforce while adhering to worker classification regulations.

Sales organization dynamics and buying behavior — You must understand how buyers, sellers, and internal stakeholders interact when consulting is introduced into a sales conversation because your ability to position consulting effectively depends on this contextual knowledge.

Domain-specific experience

7+ years delivering consulting engagements in sales effectiveness, revenue enablement, or go-to-market strategy, with direct accountability for client relationships and engagement outcomes, not just project execution or support.

Demonstrated experience building or contributing to a consulting pipeline through direct business development, not solely through inbound or sales-assisted leads, because this role requires you to generate demand as well as fulfill it.

Experience operating inside or alongside a sales organization in a consulting or advisory capacity, with sufficient exposure to understand how consulting is introduced, scoped, and delivered in a sales-led commercial environment.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this role is $155,000–$175,000 USD based on a good‑faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation within this range will depend on factors including experience, skills, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for an annual bonus and Trilliad’s benefits package, which includes health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and other benefits.
