We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join a supportive school in Sheffield, working with pupils who have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated professional who is committed to inclusive education and making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people.
The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEND
- Work with pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
- Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
- Develop, review and implement EHCPs and individual support plans
- Use effective behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
- Collaborate closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, parents and external agencies
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)
- Has experience teaching pupils with SEND (mainstream or specialist setting)
- Demonstrates strong behaviour management and differentiation skills
- Is patient, resilient and childin their approach
- Has a good understanding of SEND frameworks, EHCPs and safeguarding
- Works well both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
