Your tasks
NYTC International Organization Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Director of Information Technology & Applied Physics to lead the Group's information technology, digital systems, technical computing and applied-physics functions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing the Group's IT infrastructure and digital strategy while also providing technical leadership for computational and physics-related applications used within acoustics, construction, engineering, product development and technical consultancy.
The Director will be responsible for
- Leading the Group's IT and digital technology strategy.
- Managing IT infrastructure, networks, servers, cloud systems, cybersecurity, data management and business-critical software.
- Developing and maintaining internal digital systems and technology platforms.
- Providing senior technical oversight of software development, automation, databases and systems integration.
- Applying computational methods to engineering and physics-related problems.
- Supporting acoustic, vibration, sound-isolation and building-physics projects through technical analysis and computational tools.
- Developing technology solutions connecting IT systems with engineering, construction and technical-consultancy operations.
- Evaluating and implementing AI, automation and data-analysis technologies.
- Providing technical input into research, testing and development of specialist acoustic and engineering products.
- Managing external IT vendors, technology consultants and specialist contractors.
- Establishing cybersecurity, data-protection, backup and business-continuity policies.
- Training and supporting technical and management personnel in the use of Group technology systems.
- Reporting directly to senior management on technology strategy, technical development and implementation.
Requirements
This is a multidisciplinary senior-management position requiring an unusual combination of advanced computer-science expertise, IT leadership and practical understanding of physics-based engineering applications.
Applicants must demonstrate
- A Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related computing discipline.
- Strong professional experience in information technology, computer systems and technical computing.
- Demonstrable knowledge of physics and the application of physical principles to practical engineering problems.
- Experience or substantial technical knowledge relevant to acoustics, sound, vibration, building physics or related engineering disciplines.
- Ability to work across both software/IT systems and physical engineering applications.
- Experience with programming, databases, systems architecture, networking and cybersecurity.
- Experience implementing technology within a multidisciplinary commercial environment.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and scientific concepts to engineers, consultants, management and non-technical personnel.
- Ability to operate at Director level and independently establish technical policies, systems and long-term technology strategy.
DESIRABLE SPECIALIST EXPERIENCE Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience spanning several of the following areas:
