Senior ServiceNow SecOps Technical Consultant

Summary

We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow SecOps Technical Consultant to design, configure, and implement ServiceNow Security Operations solutions. You will build and customise SecOps modules, integrate ServiceNow with security tools, and ensure the platform effectively supports the client’s security operations.

Must have: Hands-on technical implementation experience with ServiceNow SecOps (Security Incident Response and/or Vulnerability Response). Onsite in Dubai.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement ServiceNow SecOps modules: Security Incident Response (SIR), Vulnerability Response (VR), Configuration Compliance, and Threat Intelligence.
• Develop customisations using JavaScript, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Flow Designer.
• Build and maintain integrations with security tools, including SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel), vulnerability scanners (Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7), and EDR tools (CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender).
• Configure security playbooks, workflows, assignment rules, SLAs, and automated response actions.
• Ensure the CMDB is properly set up and populated to support vulnerability and incident correlation.
• Build dashboards, Performance Analytics, and reports for security operations.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs in collaboration with Business Analysts.
• Support testing, deployment, upgrades, and post-go-live activities.
• Follow ServiceNow best practices for performance, security, and upgradeability.
• Mentor junior developers and create technical documentation.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of ServiceNow development or implementation experience.
• Hands-on implementation experience with ServiceNow SecOps (SIR and/or VR).
• Strong ServiceNow scripting skills, including JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Script Includes, and Client Scripts.
• Experience with IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and security integration spokes or plugins.
• Good knowledge of the CMDB and its role in SecOps.
• Understanding of security operations, including incident response, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and EDR tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow certifications: CSA, CAD, CIS – Security Incident Response, or CIS – Vulnerability Response.
• Experience with Security Posture Control, Configuration Compliance, or Threat Intelligence.
• Security certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP.
• Experience in banking, government, or other regulated sectors in the UAE/GCC.
