/ GUIDED MEDITATION FACILITATOR

location: Victoria Island, Lagos

About the Session

As part of LIO26, we are creating a dedicated moment of stillness within a day centred around conversation, vulnerability, mental health and the power of being heard.

We are seeking an experienced Hypnotherapist, Guided Meditation Facilitator, or suitably qualified practitioner to lead a short, carefully designed guided meditation and deep-relaxation experience for our audience.

The session should help participants slow down, become present, reconnect with themselves and create a safe internal space to acknowledge what they may be carrying.

This is not intended to be a clinical hypnotherapy session or individual therapy. It is an experiential group session designed for reflection, grounding and emotional wellbeing.:

What You Will Do

  • Lead a 10–15 minute guided meditation / deep-relaxation experience for a live audience.
  • Create a calm, welcoming and psychologically safe atmosphere.
  • Use appropriate techniques such as guided breathing, mindfulness, relaxation, visualization or other suitable non-clinical approaches.
  • Develop a session that connects meaningfully with the summit theme, “LET IT OUT: The Power of Being Heard.”
  • Guide participants gently without requiring anyone to disclose personal experiences or participate beyond their comfort level.
  • Provide a brief introduction and grounding exercise before the session and a gentle return-to-room experience afterwards.
  • Work with the LIO26 creative/programming team to ensure the session fits naturally into the overall programme.
  • Maintain appropriate professional and ethical boundaries throughout the experience.

The Experience We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who can create a moment that feels: Calm. Human. Safe. Reflective. Grounding.

The session should not feel overly clinical, theatrical or performative.

We want participants to leave feeling that they have had a moment to pause, breathe, listen inward and reconnect with themselves.

Ideal Candidate

You should have:

  • Professional training or recognised qualifications in hypnotherapy, meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, psychology, psychotherapy or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience facilitating sessions for groups or live audiences.
  • A strong understanding of emotional safety and appropriate boundaries when working with diverse audiences.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • The ability to make people feel comfortable quickly.
  • Experience working within mental-health, wellness, corporate, community or public-event settings is an advantage.
  • A warm, grounded and non-judgmental presence.

Important Consideration

Because this is a public mental-health event, the facilitator must be able to work within a trauma-informed and psychologically safe framework.

The session should avoid techniques that could unnecessarily evoke traumatic memories, emotional distress or loss of control in a large group setting.

Participants should always retain the ability to opt out, remain seated quietly or return their attention to the room.

What We Need From You

Interested practitioners should be able to provide:

  • A short professional profile
  • Relevant qualifications/certifications
  • Examples of previous group facilitation or public sessions
  • A brief description of your proposed approach for the LIO26 session
  • Your availability for October 10, 2026
  • Your professional fee / speaking or facilitation rate
  • Any technical or environmental requirements

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to contribute to a summit built around one simple but powerful idea:

People need spaces where they can speak, listen and be heard.

We believe that sometimes, creating that space begins with giving people permission to become still.
