- A bachelor’s degree in History, or a Bachelor of Education Arts degree with History as amajor teaching subject, from an accredited and recognized university.
- A master’s degree in History or a directly related historical specialization from an accreditedand recognized university.
- Registration for, or demonstrated eligibility to register for, a relevant PhD or equivalent doctoral programme.
- Evidence of academic, research or professional capability relevant to the position
