Software Development Engineer
Accountabilities: The Software Development Engineer will contribute to the design, development, delivery, and operation of secure cloud-based applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create reliable and scalable solutions.
Design, build, and maintain high-throughput backend services and APIs capable of processing large volumes of data securely and efficiently.
Provide technical guidance on system architecture, usability improvements, and complex engineering challenges.
Develop balanced solutions that address business requirements, user experience, and long-term technical sustainability.
Take ownership of software delivery by driving high-quality engineering practices and contributing throughout the development lifecycle.
Participate in design reviews, ensuring solutions are customer-focused, testable, resilient, and aligned with security best practices.
Support cloud applications in production environments, including troubleshooting, monitoring, and participation in on-call rotations.
Build and maintain automated deployment processes using modern CI/CD practices and cloud-native technologies.
Collaborate with engineering peers to improve development standards, processes, and overall team effectiveness.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate brings strong software engineering experience, a passion for cloud technologies, and the ability to deliver secure and scalable enterprise solutions in a collaborative environment.
5+ years of experience developing and supporting enterprise-grade cloud-based software systems.
Strong software development background with proven experience in coding, architecture, and problem-solving.
Proficiency in C#/.NET or another modern programming language.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or similar agentic AI coding solutions to accelerate software design, development, and review.
Experience working in Agile teams with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
Hands-on experience designing API services and working with scalable microservices architectures.
Strong understanding of cloud-native application design, software development best practices, and automated testing within the SDLC.
Experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Docker containers, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Terraform.
Experience with unit testing frameworks and end-to-end testing approaches.
Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and drive improvements.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
