Accountabilities: The Data Conversion Engineer will support the successful migration of customer and operational data by building reliable data pipelines, improving conversion processes, and ensuring high-quality results throughout implementation projects.

Lead and manage ETL migration activities across multiple projects, ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely data delivery.

Develop and maintain extraction, transformation, and loading scripts using Python, SQL, and related data engineering tools.

Analyze and profile complex source database structures, including relational and legacy systems, to support effective data mapping and migration.

Perform data validation and quality assurance activities to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of migrated datasets.

Implement improvements based on feedback from clients and internal teams to enhance migration performance and reliability.

Collaborate with technical and client-facing teams to integrate customer data into modern platforms and support successful project launches.

Contribute to documentation, automation initiatives, process optimization, and data migration best practices.

Participate in agile team activities, including standups and review sessions, while communicating progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and analytical data professional with experience in data engineering fundamentals, migration processes, and automation. They should enjoy solving complex problems and collaborating in a fast-paced technical environment.

Experience developing solutions with Python, including use of the pandas library.

Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.

Experience with data migration, ETL processes, scripting, and workflow automation.

Understanding of system design, data structures, and technical analysis.

Ability to analyze complex datasets and identify data quality issues.

Strong problem-solving mindset with curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies.

Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Experience in utility technology, billing systems, or large-scale data transformation projects is an asset.
