Provides support to NSL Operations in the form of troubleshooting process equipment, help design and build new equipment for operations, and work with maintenance and engineering to improve operability of existing equipment. Manage inventory of operating supplies. Also working under the direction of the EHS Manager, manage process waste streams and disposal of process waste.

Key Responsibilities Follows and provides support for all environmental, health and safety initiatives

Proactively addresses all identified safety hazards and eliminates all unsafe conditions

Adheres to all safety programs, SOPs and GMPs

Coordinates all assigned work with the operations team, maintenance, and QA departments

Work with Engineering/Maintenance to help resolve processing issues

Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product

Supports projects to improve working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of processes and work

As assigned, manage process waste streams and waste disposal

Track waste disposal quantities and cost

Consults with the production supervisor to maintain alignment of responsibilities

Demonstrates management’s commitment to safety

Shift Full-time schedules available

1st shift: 5:00am – 5:00pm - Eligible for a $2.00 / hour premium (12 hour shift)

2-2-3 Schedule

Week 1: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday

Week 2: Monday, Thursday, Friday

Payday is every other week on Fridays

Required Education and Experience High School diploma or GED preferred

5+ years’ experience in industrial operations

Must be at Process Technician level 3

No disciplinary actions within the last 12 months

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience working with maintenance on overhauling and PM’s of rotating equipment

Experience with waste management and handling/shipping of hazardous waste

Essential skills/knowledge: Understanding of GMP and OSHA standards

Strong computer skills: Proficient with MS Word and Excel

Self-starter with excellent written and verbal skills

Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices including the proper wearing of clean protective clothing, following personal hygiene standards, and adherence to food/drink/tobacco restrictions

Environmental and/or Physical Requirements Lifting up to 50 pounds

Standing for long periods of time

Working in a dusty environment

Able to wear a respirator (must be clean shaven) and other required personal protective equipment
