Position overview
We are welcoming expressions of interest from outstanding Early Years Teachers interested in joining GEMS International School – Dubai Hills from August 2027.
We welcome experienced IB educators as well as outstanding teachers from British and other international curricula who are passionate about inquiry-led learning and inspiring confident, curious learners.

Deliver engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that inspire curiosity, critical thinking and global awareness.
Create an inclusive classroom environment where students feel challenged, supported and empowered.
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
Assess and monitor student progress, using data to inform teaching and learning.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver the curriculum and share best practice.
Build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
Contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities, enrichment opportunities and professional learning.

Skills description
Successful candidate
A recognised teaching qualification at degree level, such as a B.Ed, PGCE, State Teaching License or equivalent, with appropriate Early Years teaching credentials.
A minimum of three years' successful experience teaching within the Early Years phase, ideally including the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), although IB experience is preferred rather than essential.
A strong understanding of effective Early Years pedagogy and child-centred learning.
Experience or confidence in delivering inquiry-based, concept-driven learning.
A passion for inspiring curiosity and developing confident, independent and globally minded learners.
Excellent communication, collaboration and classroom management skills.
