Role Summary: Provide leadership,planning and technical support for the introduction of additive manufacturing processesfor new product development and existing manufacturing. Implement efforts to improve product andprocess quality.

Essential Responsibilities: Advanced Manufacturing Engineering is recognizedas a key manufacturing technology leader within their technology domain. Interface with global counter-parts toachieve program goals and integrate global activities when necessary.

Work with Additive COE leadership to identify and implement additive manufacturing projects andapplications at Additive Development Center globally, specifically in polymer additive technologies (e.g. Stereolithography (SLA), Digital Light Processing (DLP), Continuous Light Interface Process (CLIP)) Support engineering teams across allGEHC modalities to design for Additive when applicable and develop processes totransfer Additive Manufacturing processes from design to supply chain. Provide technical support to GEHC additivemanufacturing development centers to take design concepts and turn them intooptimized and robust processes for large scale manufacturing. Support AME Additive Manufacturing COEactivities and sub-core teams; foster synergies and collaborate with otherAdvanced Manufacturing Process Technology COEs and Technical Councils tostandard utilization of Additive technologies within GEHC. Leverage and expand network of expertsacross GEHC and other GE businesses to drive best practice sharing, knowledge transfer,training and awareness of Additive capabilities. Drive improved productquality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing advanced manufacturingcost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation of AdditiveManufacturing into production Monitor and improveproductivity through the use of Lean Six Sigma or related tools, while ensuringall customer commitments are timely and cost-conscious and met with quality Ensure regulatorycompliance through Qualification & Validation. Responsible for ensuring rigor in determiningprocesses requiring validation, development of plans and analysis criteria,execution and final analysis and acceptance Drive continuoussimplification of QMS methods and their applications by working with cross-functionalteam including Operations and Quality Assurance. Work with the facilities andmaintenance teams to implement change and ensure the required product capacityis in place before it is required by customer demand

Qualifications/Requirements: B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical,Industrial Engineering or related technical degree or equivalent knowledge or experience and proven experience orAssociates Degree and significant experience or High School diploma with major experience in production, engineering or troubleshooting Prior experience in the field ofadditive manufacturing Demonstrated troubleshooting, analyticaland planning skills Ability to work independently Demonstrated strong communication skills(written and verbal) to all levels of the organization Ability to identify and implement BestPractices

Desired Characteristics: MS/PHD in technical concentration/field or equivalent knowledge or experience Major industrial experience inManufacturing Engineering 6-sigma DMAIC & DFSS certified Domainexpertise in the field of additive manufacturing and polymer materialtechnologies Domainexpertise in the Stereolithography (SLA), Digital Light Projection (DLP), ContinuousLight Interface Process (CLIP) or other Vat-Photopolymerization technologiesfor Nano-Scale applications Domain expertise in process intensivemanufacturing (e.g. machining, joining & forming, injection molding, etc.) Strongworking knowledge of CAD systems and CAD file management (e.g. Creo,Solidworks) Product and process developmentexperience Solid working knowledge of GEHC QMSprocedures for GMP Experience developing tools andtemplates Demonstrated program or projectmanagement skills Demonstrated experience owningproduction processes / growing capability in yield and quality Experience working with global teams Willing to travel domestic andinternationally up to 25% of the time.
