Production Associate

First Source Worldwide (FSW) manufactures and distributes tailor-made chemicals and colorants. We focus on sourcing quality chemical and dye products for use across multiple industries and applications including leather, textile, paper, coatings, carpet, wood, and more. FSW is currently looking for a production associate to work 1st shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday in our powders department. The production associate will: Make batches by loading equipment according to work orders with proper product and weight. Confirm weights of partial containers; report discrepancies. Be able to do basic math to complete batch sheet paperwork. Take samples from finished products and deliver to the lab for QC testing; make adjustments as directed by the lab. Package materials based on instructions provided in the work order. Ensure cleanliness of all packaging prior to staging in shipping & receiving. Label all batches with pre-approved labels. Place finished orders in the staging area for shipping & receiving to prepare for shipment. Maintain cleanliness of work station, equipment, and overall facility. Ensure safety of self & others; follow procedures & avoid incidents.Maintain attendance. Perform all other related duties as assigned (this list is not inclusive). Production associate will need: A high school degree or general education degree (GED); and 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Basic math skills are required. Daily attendance and punctuality is a must. Effective verbal, and written communication skills Attention to detail Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies Ability to lift 50 lbs independently and occasionally throughout the shift Must be able to stand for the entire shift Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Reliable transportation Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test post-employment offer Apply for the production associate opportunity today!
