Job Summary

Responsible for supporting project execution through commercial control, progress monitoring, cost management, claims preparation, and document control. The role works closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement, Finance, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual, schedule, quality, and documentation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Surveying / Commercial

  • Assist PM to monitor project budgets, cost estimates and cost tracking reports.
  • Prepare and submit monthly progress claims, variation orders (VO), additional work claims and supporting documents.
  • Maintain commercial registers including claims, VO, subcontractor claims, purchase commitments and payment status.
  • Monitor procurement status, material delivery, installation, testing, commissioning and handover activities in term of documents sign off and compilation for claim
  • Support PM for final account preparation, negotiation and project commercial close-out.

Document Control

  • Manage project documents including drawings, method statements, risk assessments, material submissions, inspection records, RFIs, technical submissions and correspondence.
  • Maintain document registers and ensure proper document numbering, revision control and distribution.
  • Track submission, approval and resubmission status to prevent delays to project activities.
  • Maintain organized electronic and hardcopy project records in accordance with client and company requirements.
  • Coordinate document submissions through client document management systems where applicable.
  • Compile testing, commissioning, QA/QC and as-built documentation for project handover.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction, M&E, semiconductor, cleanroom, facility or tool installation projects preferred.
  • Familiar with progress claims, VO management, project scheduling and document control processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; experience with Microsoft Project is an advantage.
  • Able to read engineering drawings, BOQ, specifications and project schedules.
  • Good coordination, documentation and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced semiconductor project environment.
