Middle Java / Kotlin Developer

We are seeking a skilled Middle Java / Kotlin Developer to join our development team and contribute to building scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend applications.

The ideal candidate has solid experience with Java and/or Kotlin, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and backend service development.

Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Kotlin .

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Spring Boot .

Build and maintain robust backend services and microservices.

Work with PostgreSQL and database connectivity using JDBC.

Work with relational and non-relational databases.

Implement and maintain secure communication using SSL/TLS.

Integrate services with external and internal APIs.

Work with technologies such as Kafka, Redis, Docker, and related infrastructure when required.

Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, Product Managers, and other team members to deliver high-quality products.

Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards and development best practices.

Debug, investigate, and resolve technical issues.

Maintain and improve existing services.

Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.

Participate in technical discussions and task estimation.

2+ years of professional backend development experience.

Good knowledge of Java .

Experience with Kotlin or willingness to work with Kotlin in backend development.

Good knowledge of Spring Boot .

Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.

Experience working with PostgreSQL.

Understanding of JDBC and database connectivity.

Understanding of relational and non-relational databases.

Basic understanding of SSL/TLS and secure client-server communication.

Familiarity with Git for source control.

Familiarity with Jira or similar task-management systems.

Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Ability to write clean, structured, and maintainable code.

Good problem-solving and debugging skills.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with Kafka .

Experience with Redis .

Experience with Docker .

Understanding of microservice architecture.

Experience with message brokers and asynchronous processing.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Experience working with high-load or transaction-based systems

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
