ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior EDI Developer to join a 10-month W-2 contract engagement on a fully remote basis (U.S.-based candidates only). In this role, you will perform solution-level technical analysis, design, and implementation of EDI integrations, while leading the day-to-day technical execution of integration and API projects alongside globally distributed teams.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Translate solution designs into production-ready, high-quality implementations.
- Enforce code quality standards and adherence to development best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct thorough code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, offering clear technical guidance throughout.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required — Dealbreakers:
- 8–10 years of hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Integrator (v5.2.6 or above).
- Proven experience in EDI development, maintenance, support, and monitoring.
- Mastery of mapping formats: X12, EDIFACT, XML, cXML, CSV, JSON, and Flat Files.
- Solid experience with communication protocols: FTP, SFTP, AS2, and VAN.
- Proficiency with DB2, SQL, XML, XSLT, Web Services, and REST APIs.
- Deep understanding of EDI architecture including encryption, authentication, monitoring, scalability, and availability.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship (sponsorship is not available for this role).
Additional Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical work streams and mentor junior developers.
- Experience performing code reviews and upholding engineering standards.
- Background collaborating with globally distributed teams in a technical leadership capacity.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be available to work on a W-2 contract basis for the full 10-month engagement.

- Rate: Up to $60/hour (W-2)
