Most kinesiology jobs ask you to go find your own clients. We are hiring because our physiotherapists and chiropractors are already referring active rehab patients every week.
You work inside a multidisciplinary team, not alone in a gym. Chiropractors, physiotherapists, massage therapists, acupuncturists and clinical counsellors are all in the building, and we talk to each other about shared patients.
About Backs in Action Backs in Action Rehab and Wellness Centre (BiA) is a team of passionate and collaborative health professionals and staff committed to creating customized programs to get our patients back in action.
We are a multidisciplinary clinic in a busy East Vancouver business and residential community, directly across from Renfrew SkyTrain Station. Our spacious 2,000 sq ft clinic has state-of-the-art equipment, fully furnished treatment rooms and an on-site rehab gym.

Your tasks
If you want to spend your day coaching people through real programs instead of waiting for a schedule to fill, read on.
What you will be doing
- Delivering active rehab and exercise therapy programs for ICBC Enhanced Care and WorkSafeBC clients, as well as private and extended health patients.
- Taking internal referrals from our physiotherapy and chiropractic teams, with direct access to the treating practitioner so your program matches their plan.
- Running one-on-one sessions in our on-site rehab gym, with bike, TRX, hoist machine and a full range of equipment.
- Progressing patients from early pain-limited movement through to return to work, sport and daily life.
- Writing the progress reporting that supports ICBC and WorkSafeBC treatment authorizations, with full front desk support on the paperwork and submissions.
Why this is different from most kinesiology roles Referrals are already there. You are not cold-calling case managers or building a caseload from zero.
Booking, reception, billing, direct insurance billing and marketing are all handled for you.
Requirements
What we are looking for
- A degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics, and eligibility for BCAK registration.
- Experience with active rehab is an asset. New graduates with strong exercise prescription skills are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with ICBC and WorkSafeBC active rehab programs is a strong asset, though we will train you on our process.
- Confident, motivating coaching style, and genuine care for patients who are in pain and discouraged.
- Someone who enjoys working alongside other practitioners rather than in isolation.
Licence/Certification
- Kinesiology license (required)
