We've got a great opportunity for you to expand your skills whilst working with the world's most exciting wine regions. As a Wine Trader, you will work collaboratively with key suppliers and with internal stakeholders alike in order to deliver sales, pricing and growth ahead of the market while helping to manage the category P&L. You will negotiate and deliver business plans as well as understand customers and implement strategies that meets their needs. You will need to understand, track & negotiate around key commodities and deliver cost to serve programmes with suppliers to ensure great value for our customers. You will also work hand in hand with the IPL wine sourcing team to create & blend our own label wine business which makes up half of our category. About you Previous experience in a similar commercial/trading role Strong awareness of customer requirements, market trends and competitor ranges Ability to identify strategic opportunities and innovative product ideas Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence a diverse, branded supplier base. Over and above this, each area of Asda may have additional requirements which may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores or depots.
