Senior Microbiology Specialist

The Role The Microbiology Senior Specialist will be responsible for supporting microbiology laboratory operations and ensuring reliable microbiological testing and compliance with quality control standards across production and laboratory activities.

Key Responsibilities Conduct microbiological testing of water, raw materials, finished products, IPC samples, and environmental monitoring samples in accordance with approved procedures and quality standards.

Perform microbiological testing, including Total Aerobic Microbial Count, Total Combined Yeast & Mold Count , and specified microorganisms.

Execute Growth Promotion Tests, culture maintenance, and standardized inoculum preparation .

Carry out the characterization and identification of microbial isolates .

Perform environmental monitoring of air and surfaces and ensure proper sampling of water and raw materials.

Effectively operate and handle microbiology laboratory instruments and equipment .

Prepare and maintain reports, COAs, and logbooks , ensuring data integrity in accordance with GDP .

Support and participate in laboratory investigations related to OOS results and deviations , contributing to root cause identification and implementation of corrective actions.

Conduct trend analysis to evaluate microbiological results and support ongoing system compliance.

Ensure adherence to cGMP and GLP requirements across microbiology laboratory activities.

B.Sc . in Science – Microbiology .

3–7 years of QC Microbiology experience in sterile/non-sterile pharmaceutical industry .

Good knowledge of cGMP, GLP, WHO & FDA guidelines .

Good written and spoken English .

Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Proficient in MS Office, data analysis, reporting, and presentation .

Preferably residing in 10th of Ramadan City.
