Heating,Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) Systems Technician

Job Description

• Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems and equipment.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for air-conditioning, ventilation and mechanical systems.
• Perform installation and servicing of AHU, FCU, ventilation fans, ducting, pumps and related HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose system faults and carry out necessary repairs or replacement of defective components.
• Conduct testing, commissioning and performance checks of HVAC systems.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals and technical specifications.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with project specifications and relevant safety requirements.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance, inspection, testing and repair works.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers and other trades to ensure smooth completion of work.
• Perform other HVAC-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in HVAC installation, servicing, maintenance or troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of air-conditioning, ventilation and mechanical systems.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical components related to HVAC systems.
• Able to use common HVAC tools and testing equipment.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and able to work at site, including in confined or elevated areas when required.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Good safety awareness and willingness to comply with workplace safety requirements.
• Relevant technical qualification or certification in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering or a related field will be an advantage.
