COMBINED TRADES SUPERVISOR II

You will serve as a COMBINED TRADES SUPERVISOR II in the Temporary Services Shop (Code 990), Production Resources Department of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Major duties

• You will make recommendations for promotions, reassignments, and awards for subordinate supervisors.
• You will hear and resolve group grievances and serious employee complaints.
• You will inspect work in progress and upon completion to ensure it meets all technical, nuclear, and quality assurance specifications.
• You will develop and execute long-range work plans.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability To Provide Production Support Services, performing duties such: Planning on a quarterly or longer basis the overall use of subordinate trade crews and resources. Determining long-range resource requirements, materials, and the number and types of skilled workers necessary to accomplish project. Analyzing and approving work plans developed by subordinate trade supervisors. Monitoring the status of subordinate work in relation to the overall project schedule and adjusting for emergent requirements. Assuring that subordinate supervisors effectively carry out technical and safety policies to achieve management objectives.
