account executive

We are seeking an experienced *Account Executive* to join our shipping and logistics company, position will be based in *Montreal and/or Vancouver* based on most suitable candidate in either city.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in the shipping and logistics industry with a background in transportation/freight forwarding and strong knowledge of the *Indian Subcontinent and South Asia markets*. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to increase revenue, market share, and profitability.

*Qualifications:*

• Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve the company's sales goals and objectives.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other departments, including sales, operations, and finance, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
• Prepare and present proposals to clients that align with their business needs and objectives.
• Participate in industry events and conferences to promote the company and build relationships with potential clients.
• Prepare and present business development reports to senior management on a regular basis.
• Experience with the Indian Subcontinent/Transpacific market a considerable asset

*Requirements:*

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in shipping and logistics, with a strong background in freight forwarding.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business development strategies and achieving sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
• Strong customer focus and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
