Secondary Male PE Teacher And Sports Coordinator
The Sultan's School in Oman is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced male PE teacher & sports coordinator for January 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity combining secondary PE teaching with responsibility for coordinating and developing the school's competitive sports programme across primary and secondary.
The successful candidate will teach approximately 16 PE periods per week alongside coordinating fixtures, tournaments, school teams and sporting events.
The role:
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating participation in the Muscat primary and secondary sports leagues
Organising fixtures, tournaments and the school sporting calendar
Supporting and developing school teams and sporting ECAs
Organising school sporting events and competitions
Developing opportunities for international sporting tours and tournaments
Promoting and celebrating student sporting achievement
Working closely with the head of PE and colleagues to develop competitive sport across the school
We are looking for an organised and energetic teacher with strong leadership and communication skills and a genuine passion for sport, student development and sportsmanship. Experience teaching IGCSE and/or IBDP sport-related courses would be an advantage.
Requirements:
A relevant bachelor's degree and recognised teaching qualification
At least two years' post-qualification teaching experience
Secondary PE teaching experience
Ideally you will have some previous experience of coordinating or leading sport in your school
A commitment to safeguarding and the wider life of the school
