  1. Fixed Assets Register
  • Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy of acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
  • Verify all capital expenditures are properly approved and recorded.
  • Conduct periodic physical verification of assets and reconcile with the register.
  • Monitor asset tagging and ensure compliance with school and audit requirements.
  • Prepare monthly and annual fixed asset schedules.
  1. Treasury & Cash Management (Bank Conciliation)
  • Handle daily cash operations, bank transactions (Trips & Exams).
  • Monitor balances and prepare daily/weekly Treasury position reports.
  • Reconcile all bank statements regularly and investigate discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper safekeeping of petty cash and maintain accurate petty cash records.
  • Forecast cash flow needs to meet operational and capital expenditure requirements
  1. Accounts Payable
  • Review supplier invoices, and payment requests for accuracy and proper approvals.
  • Prepare payments (cash, checks, bank transfers) in line with credit terms and school policy.
  • Maintain vendor accounts, track due dates, and reconcile statements with suppliers.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries promptly.
  • Prepare monthly payable aging reports and assist in cash flow planning.
  1. Inventory Control
  • Maintain accurate records of all school inventory, including supplies, equipment, and materials.
  • Perform quarterly stock counts and reconcile if needed physical inventory with system records with in the regulations.
  • Monitor stock movements, report variances, and recommend improvements to inventory management processes.
  • Coordinate with storekeepers to ensure proper documentation of inventory transactions.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard inventory assets.
  1. Filing & Documentation
  • Organize and maintain financial records (Bank out in EGP, Bank out in GBP, Adjustments, debit notes, credit notes, bank statements reconciliation, contracts & other documents) in both digital and hard-copy formats.
  • Ensure all finance documents are properly filed, easily retrievable, labeled box files and comply with audit and legal requirements.
  • Maintain a clear document control system with category & dates for audits and management reporting.
  1. External Audit Support
  • Meets all audit requirements.
  • Provide all required schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents on time.
  • Address audit queries promptly and implement recommendations to strengthen controls.
  • Assist in preparing year-end & half Year end financial statements and audit packs.

Minimum 2 years of experience.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including data entry, spreadsheets, and simple financial analysis.

Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to maintain organized financial records.

Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments.

Ability to work on-site in Alexandria, Egypt, follow established procedures, and manage time to meet deadlines.

Integrity, discretion in handling confidential financial information, and willingness to learn and develop within the role.

Previous internship or junior finance experience in an educational organization is an advantage.
