Pediatrician Consultant
Job description
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced specialist/consultant pediatrician with a valid DHA license or DHA eligibility to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care while adhering to international clinical standards.
Key responsibilities
Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses in infants, children, and adolescents.
Conduct routine pediatric examinations, developmental assessments, and well-child visits.
Monitor children's physical, emotional, and developmental growth.
Administer and recommend immunizations according to UAE and international vaccination guidelines.
Diagnose and manage common pediatric conditions, including respiratory, gastrointestinal, infectious, allergic, endocrine, and nutritional disorders.
Provide emergency pediatric care and stabilize critically ill children when required.
Counsel parents and caregivers on child health, nutrition, growth, development, vaccination schedules, and preventive care.
Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education (CME).
Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, hospital policies, infection control protocols, and patient safety standards.
Participate in on-call duties and emergency coverage as required.
Requirements
MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
MD, DNB, Arab Board, MRCPCH, or equivalent postgraduate qualification in pediatrics.
Valid DHA license or DHA eligibility is mandatory.
Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization experience as a specialist or consultant pediatrician.
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in general pediatrics.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
